Philipp Kendzior

At heart, I'm a business strategist who is passionate about closing the gap between a great idea and its successful execution. For over 15 years, I've been working at the intersection of data, marketing and technology – and had the privilege of working for some of the most renowned companies in finance, pharma and consumer goods.
My journey has taught me: a deep understanding of business is one half of success. The other is the ability to not just understand technological possibilities, but to actively use them to create results.
Today I'm experiencing the most exciting phase of my career: I'm evolving from a "tech-savvy" strategist into a Tech Creator. With tools like Agentic AI, I can radically shorten the long wait between strategic vision and technical execution. I now build prototypes in an afternoon that used to require months-long projects.
This blog is the chronicle of my journey – a journey that shows how business expertise becomes a superpower through AI.

In my current role, I am responsible for data strategy and integration for Continental Europe. My focus is on creating a unified data landscape to enable data-driven decisions across the organisation and to develop new digital services.
Head of Digital Transformation & Data Analytics
Sodexo
I previously drove the data-centric transformation for Sodexo in Germany. A key project was developing a catalogue of over 20 data-based use cases and launching the POS-API/SAP project to leverage POS data on the global integration platform.

Here I helped build and lead the 'Digital Analytics Consulting' division. In this role I advised national and international clients on data monetisation and the design of e-commerce and marketing technology strategies.

At DWS I was responsible for the conception and development of complex IT solutions, such as a data-driven 'Interaction Engine', and managed the global relaunch of platforms including dws.de.
Senior eMedia & Communications Manager
Merz Pharmaceuticals
As the person responsible for the global digital strategy of Merz Aesthetics, I coordinated and expanded the company's digital presence across regions including EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
Marketing Manager E-Commerce

One of my most formative early roles. As project lead for 'Multichannel E-Commerce', I was responsible for the successful launch of the Praktiker online shop and led a team of 10 to manage e-commerce operations.

What Drives Me
The conviction that as managers we no longer have to wait on the sidelines. We now have the tools to become makers ourselves. Rapid prototyping is no longer the privilege of developers – it's the new core competency of every leader who understands AI as a lever.
